Design submitted by Lloyd from Australia.
Lloyd says: “This watch design is called “Time Splitter” and was inspired by a puzzle I created about 8 years ago. The display may look a bit weird at first, but is actually very easy to read once you know the trick behind it.
Time Splitter has both a time and date mode. To see the digits in either mode just join the first and second figures and third and fourth figures together in each row to get 4 digits. Basically, the digits have been split in half vertically to give the appearance of 8 incomplete digits.
This watch is USB rechargeable via a computer and the strap is made from a man-made material that is animal friendly. The watch comes with a choice of several different coloured bands and the display is available in different colours too.
This watch would appeal to puzzle and sci-fi lovers. It would also suit geeks and anyone who likes things that are slightly “outside the box” or unusual. This design stands out because of its original puzzling display which is also very easy to read.
Wooow, it really looks unreadable when you don’t have a clue but so simple actually – perfect! It’s cool you found a splittable 1. The case split is a cool idea… How about aligning two of them at the actual number splits? Hm, maybe then it’s too obvious. Anyway, great name, great effect, 5*/YES
ps.: very nice graphical work again

Cheers Sam! 😉 Because it’s so easy to read when you know what to do, it’s nice to hear from someone seeing it for the first time.

I like this Lloyd, its cryptic but easy to read. It looks kinda retro futuristic and very stylised. Also very makeable which is an important detail! 5/Y Best of luck! 😀

The digits could be alien at first glance, but they are simple and easy to read. I like the continuation of the theme with the split in the case. Very modern, very cool, very utilitarian. (Oh, and I want a pink or purple one please !).
