Design submitted by Gordon from the USA.
Gordon says: This is a mash-up of an old watch design body and a new display of mine so lets call it “Mashup”.
Design submitted by Lewis from the UK.
Lewis says: The idea was to create something interactive. A device that offered more than just digital features. Having a physical twisting action affect the digital display in the forms of animation or function goes beyond pressing a button.
Design submitted by Gordon from the USA.
Gordon says: I wanted to make a watch inspired by modern custom interiors. I was hoping to come up with a unique method of time telling but more importantly i was hoping it would compliment the overall design.
Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: In recent months I have had a bit of a thing for triangular watches, sporting 12/5/9 time telling formats. For some reason (in my eyes) these two things seem to go togther very nicely. So here is another version called “Tri-Sector”.
Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: This is “Tri/5/9” a back to basics 12/5/9 LED design.
I was trying to think of a simple and intuitive 12/5/9 watch and the most logical format I could think of was a triangular layout. One side for hours, one for tens of minutes and one for single minutes.
Design submitted by Justin from the UK.
Justin says: Ive had this design in my Sketch-Pad for a while & cant remember how it originated, it probably started off as a hexagon and evolved from that. I may have been watching something on TV about germs or Micro-Organisms which influenced the design.
Design submitted by Justin from the UK.
Justin says: As usual I doodle the numbers first, then simply mould the rest of the watch around them. I always set out with a specific technology in mind, E-paper, LCD, analogue…
This time I chose LED…I created…GRID!
Design submitted by Cory from the USA.
Cory says: The watch is a Touch screen LCD/LED hybrid. It uses a dot matrix composed of Triangles instead of squares. I made this design very music friendly, when a track from your playlist comes up, you can swipe right for next, left for previous. The outer ring is not dissimilar to Rogue Touch and On Air, so the functionality will be familiar to Tokyoflash fans.
Design submitted by Patrick from France.
Patrick says: I wanted to make parallel bands like floors of a building.
The “Stairs-Watch” is rather a jewel watch as she plays with the reflections of the surrounding light, with a reading time very easy, yet cryptic at first.
