AXYS watch, comes from the intersection of the horizontal (X) and vertical (Y) lines.

Peter says: This is “Tri-Hub” and “Tri-Hub Hybrid”.
I had the idea for the original analogue Tri-Hub a while back, the basic premise being the time would be displayed via three cylinders mounted on a centre “Hub”.

Matt says: This is a revamp of “AD 1224”, a previous submission. It’s an e-paper/lcd combined with analog watch. I wanted to make an analog-digital watch. I choose digital hour and analog minute and second.

Peter says: I have allways been interested in sci-fi films and wanted to design an unusual alien looking watch. I didn’t have a specific image in mind but the watch evolved into something that resembles a cross between the “Tripods” of “the war of the world” films, the little spacecraft/aliens from “batteries not included” and a mechanised turret. The ideas were so similar in layout it struck me as unnecessary to come up with two separate cases, which would probably have been very similar anyway. The displays are both HD LCD or LED.
