Rodrigo says: Im a Electronic Engineer,and i came up with this idea after using an digital oscilloscope.
You can tell the time by tracking the evolution of the wave signals and combining the 3 waves you can tell the time.
The people I see using my design, are all those who love sci-fi and technology.
It is easy to see the time, and its simplicity will pull the imagination of each of us.

Logan says: The watch colors are inspired by the amber, green, and white monochrome monitors from the early days of personal computing. The strap is like gray ribbon cables. The square shape — a CPU. Overall, the design is meant to evoke nostalgia for the vintage computing experience. Even people who did not live through it have seen it in countless movies and TV shows, and associate that imagery with classic computer cool.

Tom says: I am currently at the second year of a Bachelordegree in Mediadesign. This idea came to me during a schoolproject in a class named “Informationdesign”, where we had to choose amongst different kind of topics in a mandatory exercise (we had to pass in order to get to take the exams). I chose one where we was supposed to make a new watchdial to tell time. I passed, but since the design had no other purpose that to show my teacher I thought it would be great to enter this contest with it.

Bryce says: I’m a fan a geek vintage: pager, old computers, science fiction movie from the seventies/eighties, etc.
Since a long time, I dream about a watch with a vintage leather strap that is able to display time like a fictional computer in a (old) science fiction movie. I want a watch with a clean and simple design and a leather strap a little bit “handmade”.

William says: When I started this project, I wanted to check if I could use the interesting visual effect of the EAN codes in an original time telling system.
I am very interested in concepts that allow to use different kind of graphic designs to reach different kind of groups of people. I think that my concept allows this in a very easy way.

Brad says: Sundials were brilliant in their day. They are still amazing that they are simple enough for children to be able to make reasonable models of them, yet then can be quite elaborate at times and all can be very accurate. This is a concept to bring that time keeping method with you at all times and available, sunshine or not.

Looking up into the heavens and imagining what lies in the murky darkness has been a source of mystery and wonder, and I thought it would be interesting to take the concept of stargazing and put it into a watch design. This is the result.
