Peter says: I have always liked furniture and other products made out of formed and laminated materials like ply-wood. This type of material lends itself to ribbon like geometric and organic forms  which often have very dynamic looks. I decided it would be nice to design a watch around these types of forms with a laminated look, “Delamination” was born.

Trylon LED watch inspired by sci-fi movies.

Peter says: This is “Trylon” a 12-5-9 format LED watch.

I had an idea to design a watch based on the image of the “flux capacitor” from the time traveling Delorean from the “back to the future” movies. In the development stage I had more of a Cylon image in my head and ended up with something between a Cylon and the robot spaceships from the first star-wars films which had a “Y” shape face. The name “Trylon” came from the combination of the “Y” shape face and Cylon like lights.

LED Evolution is the next step of time telling…

Sam says: First there has been the sun dial. That has been mechanized and so it became independent from the sun. Then only the relevant numbers have been taken and time telling became digital. Later, these numbers have been represented by shapes and colors and so time telling became artistic. It’s time for another step, a watch that fuses all information into a compact display.
