YAL watch design mimics an electronic circuit.

Yoann says: For a long time, I like to make some graphic creation in my free time and I used to put on it my little logo and “YAL” as a signature. I thought it will be cool to design a watch concept with it ! So, I took my pencil, turned on the tron music and began to create a watch with my inspiration.

Well, the symbol is divided into several parts :

* The middle circle indicate hours (one led for one hour)
* The outer branches indicate minutes (one led for 5 minutes)
* The 2 leds on each side indicate the single minutes (on led for 1 minute)
* And the two leds on the middle is a PM indicator.

To tell the time, you have just to count the number of lighted led on each part and add them.

Example : 5 leds in the middle, 2 leds in the outer branches, 2 more led on the left and PM indicator on = 5h + (2×5)mn + 2 mn + p.m

I see rather the people of my generation,that is to say 18-25 years old wearing my design. But, why not a a business leader or other !

I think glowing leds effect on the metal looks very cool ! Moreover the outer lines that looks like electronic circuit track.

This is really effects that I would like on a watch.

  6. I like the look of the thing, its got a bit of a sci-fi look about it. I especially like the lines coming away from the dial. I find it a little difficult to read initially, this is something I imagine you would soon get used too. My main critisim is its a bit blingy, simplfy/tone it down a pinch and its great, 5 stars and yes! 🙂

    Yoann, you have a very good eye for a watch design. Most of designs here are cool, and some hot. This one considered hot! However, hope the reading mechanism can be simplified. Still an excellent design you got here though. Voted!

  16. Well, this design is awesome ! I love it and would buy it at the seconds it begin to be sold !!! If price is in my budget, of course 🙂

    @Yoann : your watch is so beautiful, i’m lovin’ it ! The blue is appreciable, the design aggressive and futurist… Just the best ! And reading time is so easy when you know how ! Good job, hoping it will be sold in next days/months !

    i think about making some variations on my watch, for exemple less reflexion and a black model with blue or red LEDs

    Avis Perso la version originale est ma préférer mais la version Black/Gold pas mal non plus… après tu sait ce que l’on dit… les goûts et les couleurs…

    Magnifique design, ça fait rêver…
    Effet futuriste vraiment et je pense que je ne me mouille pas trop quand je dis qu’un bon nombre de personnes rêveraient d’avoir un petit bijou comme la montre que tu nous as pondu !

    • En général ca tourne autour de 4.0/5 à 4.8/5 mais comme l’a dit pete juste au dessus il y a de nombreux autres critères comme
      – la faisabilité
      – les commentaires
      – le thème de la montre
      – le concept est-il différent des montres en vente
      etc …

  50. Wonderfull watch. To preserve batery, you could just make it illuminate for few seconds during the day each 5 minutes for instance. The design is excellent, the bracelet, electronic circuit appearance… I love it ! I would like to buy one if you produce it.
    Maybe you could put also some rechargeable batery in it because of light consumption.
