Spots of Time in LCD Display

Design submitted by Laszlo from Hungary.

This watch design only has spots of dots to tell time.  Playful looking watch that comes in different LCD colors.

The time is indicated with spots, on the right position. Big spots show the hours (1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10) and smaller spots show five and the ten minutes (5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50). The smallest spots indicate single minutes (1, 2, 3, 4).

The signs on the edge of the watch help with easy time reading.  To get the exact time you just have to add the dots in groups of size.  It can be unusual at first glance (the screen looks like a faulty one) but you can understand it easily.

This is a beautiful design. I would purchase this immediately if it came out. The display is clever, simple, and eye-catching. The band is complementary in its colouring, and maintains a professional look, even in its juxtaposition with the watch face.

This should be produced, with a high-quality, professional-looking band. I would request the addition of natural LED, as in the first concept photo.

Clever! I prefer they are planets in solar system instead of dots, but this design already passed the jury. 5*

I like the basic idea but think the display might look a little empty unless constantly animating. I think if you had all the spots showing besides the ones telling the tilme it might look better (negative version) or the time telling spots a different colour or shade. Looks good tho! 4/Y Best of luck! :D

Very nice! Reminds me of the Venus transit some days ago :D I like that you use the analog watch number positions and mix this system with some little math (+) and express that in different sized dots. The examples display always look random, not technical – very nice. I must say, I like this better than the bouncey. 5*/YES

I agree this design/graphics looks nice, but the idea doesn’t seem very creative or novel.

I like the idea but there is too many much dots. At first, I thought it was a 12-5-9. ( it would have been nice )
