Andrew says: I came up with this latest Idea of transforming a Triple Yin Yang symbol in to a watch face.
Each section of the Triple Yin Yang is used to Display a separate section or amount of time that has elapsed within a 12 hour period.

Albert says: I wanted to design a watch that would tell a visual joke, or at the very least, be amusing to the reader. Working from there, I decided to use the word “TIME” to tell the time.

Firdaus says : I was influenced by many Japanese Tokusatsu and most of them featured henshin gadget that are very futuristic and stylish. Inspired by the shape of digit “4” and Japanese “つ” (tsu), I came up with this watch design.

Paolo says: Like everyone else I encountered the fact that time can be an enemy or friend. This concept reflects this idea. Radar is used to detect any intruding objects and establishes them to be friend or foe.

Albert says: The inspiration for this watch came from my interest in space. I wanted to create a design which invoked the sensation of traveling through space. The always on LEDs make stars while the infinity mirrors create the illusion of space.

Peter says: I was visiting the gym and noticed various posters promoting the 2012 olympic games. The main image associated with the olympics are the olympic rings, a set of interlinked coloured rings. I started thinking that it would be nice to use interlinked rings to tell the time. The result looks similar to the trinity symbol.

Firdaus & Heather say: Decode the time with CODEX watch design.
The design is about decoding the time with coded numbers. Decoding method is read up to down for hour and left to right for minute and second. The watch design can also be used tell the date.

Lloyd says: This watch design is called “EOBOT” and was inspired by the robot I had as a kid and those that appeared in classic sci-fi movies like the The Day The Earth Stood Still and Forbidden Planet. It’s called “EOBOT” because the display uses different coloured lights to indicate even (E) and odd (O) digits and the pattern of lights together with a circular head forms the shape of a robot.

Earlier this month we saw the imaginative Stylux watch from Anders that used a combination of laser & phosphorescent ink to ‘draw’ the time. He has updated the design using less advanced technology, which could be more realistic to produce.

Peter says: I was trying to think of a motor sport themed watch which showed time in recognisable but new way. I decided that I wanted to use the silhouette of GP circuits as my clock face. The facia is removable and can be swapped with a range of facias with different circuits on them. (this principle would work for other shapes too) The watch would be programmed to work with a range of these facias.
