Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: This is “Hybrid 3” a redesign of a re-design of “Hybrid” which featured on the blog back in March 2012.
Design submitted by Logan from the USA.
Logan says: Most of the time, I prefer a minimal display, but sometimes I need more accuracy. Big Minimal is an attempt to balance two styles in a single watch I can wear all the time.
Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: This concept is an evolution of an earlier design called “stealth” .
The original “stealth” concept featured a triangular shaped watch body with three displays showing the time in a choice of digital and digital analogue formats. This concept retains those features but with a more alien bio-engineered steathy shape.
Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: I seem to have developed a bit of a fondness for the 12/5/9 time telling method, which for me always suggest that the display should be split into three areas/segments (seems intuitive to do so)
I originally had an image in my head that was kind of performance car exhaust esc (think Pagani Zonda) but as I drew it up I realised that it resembled the warning sign for radiation.
Design submitted by Justin from the UK.
Justin says: I was doing the usual search on the internet for inspiration, logos, weird shapes or scientific influences and I saw the Cern logo (The LHC or Large Hadron Collider) and I was intrigued by the swirl effect and how lines ran off of it. That simple shape gave the impression of movement and velocity…thus, Centrifuge was born.
Design submitted by Jose from Spain.
Jose says: This idea came to me, inspired by classic watches of the fifteenth century, in which the hours were represented in Roman characters and a single hand marked the passage of time, so I thought maybe it could be interesting to develop a different concept starting from a model classic watch.
Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: The idea for this design is a back to basics LED or LCD watch with a digital/analogue time telling method.
The time is told in an analogue format using digits to act as the marker in a similar way to “On Air” but in this case the digits live in a perimeter around the outside of the display.
Design submitted by Sam from Germany.
Sam says: The Rorschach LED watch concept is a more technical approach to the topic of symmetric symbols. While the Rorschach Epaper watch looks to the past, the LED watch concept looks to the future.
Design submitted by Ignacio from Spain.
Ignacio says: I always dream with minimalist and cool watches, with no clock hands and very few elements.
Red Sector is one of those dreams, where simplex, technology and design are mixed to create a futuristic and outlaw watch.
