Wilhelm says: The Taiko LED concept is an inspiration of a combination of Dieter Ram’s work and the analogue dialS of classic radio receivers to create a minimalistic watch with a retro sci-fi aviation appearance.
Justin says: Vortex was the result of two minds coming together, both mine and my good friend Simon. We discussed and doodled one day and then once he had left I sat down at my PC and got busy with the CAD part and tweaking the aesthetics and minor details.
Pater says: This design is inspired by the modern trend in car design for LED head lights.
These new lights are becoming far more futuristic, detailed and elaborate than the more traditional bulb and reflector type that they replace. Its this futuristic elaborate look that made me think of watch displays and how this could be incorporated.
Wilhelm says: The idea for this watch module came from the square metal grids used in the building industry, combined with 2 methods for reading time, the normal digital “grid” mode for easy time telling and the “quattro” binary method for reading digital time, hence the name “Quattrogrid”.
Justin says: This is a re-imagining of BorderLine, a concept of my own creation. The method of telling the hours was well received and some felt that it was a shame that the minutes were robbed of this unique method.
