Zoltan says: I wanted to created a watch that looks special, but you couldn’t tell at first glance what it is.
Nevertheless it’s easy to tell the time by looking at it.
The watch has 13 LEDs in a single row.The LEDs are controlled by an accelerometer and as you shake your hand they light up at the appropriate time to show the digits.

Sam says: This time I liked to make an expressive watch based upon a pyramid. I was inspired by the theory, that the big pyramid in Giza (also: Gize, Gizeh) or mayan pyramids were build by aliens. The pyramids influence architecture in sci-fi movies so why not a watch? This I thought a futuristic alien pyramid watch would be cool.

Sam says: The inspiration for this watch came from the number sign (hash, pound sign, rarely octothorp in different variations). This symbol divides an area into nine squares.
I sketched around for a digital display and quickly came to the double square numbers, you can see in the images. I took the name Octothorpe due to it’s emphasis on the number 8. There are 8 squares forming the time display and each of them is made of 8 segments.

Timur says: Titanium watches designed in style futuristic modernity. Information display clock showing precise time, decorated with beautiful characters. At first sight the characters are seem odd, difficult to understand what time is it. Laszlo says: This watch keeps its LCD screen always on and uses a zoom effect on the digits to make you feel like traveling in a tunnel. The time is shown in four phases and the centrally located small squares help to distinguish the phases. Top left: first digit of the hours, top right: second digit of the hours, bottom left: first digit of minutes, bottom right: second digit of the minutes.

Leonard says: Recently I study about emoticons of digital display. It remains me of tamagotchi, a digital pet in 90’s. When i look at how the tamagotchi’s pet face expression, it give me an idea on designing this watches – Watchme.

Heather says : I was looking at a digital clock whose traditional 7-segment digits were mostly trapezoidal, with a visible gap between the segments. I thought, “Why do the segments need to be trapezoids?” I sketched some digit layouts using various arrangements of seven polygon segments with pronounced spaces between them, until I came up with the CRAX digits.
