Design submitted by Peter from UK.
Peter figured out a way to tell time using an image of a jet engine.
To tell the time, you simply pull the cord out of the bezel. This spins the turbine blades. The kinetic energy created powers the LEDs mounted on one of the blades which creates the illusion of the time floating in mid air.

Two weeks left. Look at the success the watch had in the first two weeks. The 3.6 aren’t justified. Yes, I’m talking to the one(s) who rate(s) down here and on other designs again and again. You cannot take away the success of this design. You are wasting your life, you know it. You are a little sick, if you gain pleasure from devaluing other people’s work. Maybe you’re jealous, but this bad karma won’t bring you success anywhere. Stay away from the blog if you haven’t any constructive contribution to share.

I love the clean THX-1138 look, but I’d love a cold, gritty, steel, terminator styled version. They used my favorite jet ever, the A-10 Thunderbolt II, in Terminator: Salvation and the this reminded me of the turbines on the A-10 and the futuristic red light elements of the Terminators (red vision, LED’s, etc.) Put the gritty chrome/steel elements of all that skyNET stuff and the A-10’s together and I’d love you forever.. no h0m0… you gotta pay first. 😛

I glad you like it, click on my yellow name to link to my FB page, there is a stealthy black version and an aluminium coloured one.
I agree a dark and moody terminator stylie would be super cool!
Thanks for the Feedback!
Oh I forgot my wallet sorry! hehe

A very unique idea indeed…da analoguez and da digitalz…n even da LED watchez are (somewhat) something I can safely say that we’re (almost) “used to” now…da idea of makin da time “float”…superb! I’ve seen something similar a looooong time ago…where da person used a motorized fan that’d display specific text once da fan waz spinnin at full speed n I thought it waz a pretty cool gadget…n now a watch that displayz time in da same fashion iz just “thinkin out of da box”…However, I would suggest something to be done about da cord…I don’t think many of us would like to pull da cord every time u wanna see what time it iz…n may be add a feature or two…like da date or date and day may be..Overall, good idea 🙂

Oh…one more thing…I think u should add something to cover the bladez..probably not glass on both endz..az that might create a problem..may be a foggy effect…so may be something like a mesh…may be at da back or on da sidez…to help releaze da air 😉

Hi Fr0zen, thats a comprehensible amount of feed back! The extra features would be not problem, date, animation etc. It would be possible to do away with the cord and power the blades electrically, but this will use a lot of power hence the reason for the cord. Alternatively it could be a lever or a button you “pump” to spin the blades. I think that if it were developed it would be necessary to have a glass or like you say mesh cover to stop things getting into the blades. You might be right that it may need a mesh or vents on the back to allow any pressure built up by the blades to escape. Thanx for da comment! 😀

If this watch gets approved I want to custom order one in a matte black finish. I don’t care how much it cost. Love this watch design

This design has been really well, its had loads of really positive comments and has featured on plenty of external blogs. The score is a little dissapointing but hopefully TF will see past that.
