Tuning Watch – Car Design LED Watch

Design submitted by Patrick from France.

A very interesting and innovative watch design, Patrick describes it as a design that looks like a revamped American car, Calande, from the 50s and 60s.  Not only is the design for car lovers, it has a special mechanism, a sensory flap, that makes this watch handy for drivers on the go.  The time can be activated without releasing the steering wheel.  Convenient?  Read on!

The sensory flap is retractable from the front side of the watch and time is easily activated with a simple tilt of the wrist.  The time is read much like our Barcode watch from left to right, with the first line showing 5-hour segments, 1-hour segments for the second line, and 10-minute and 1-minute segments for the third and fourth lines.  It also includes a date function, day-of-week and PM indicators.  The strap is made from a flexible metal bracelet that can be easily worn and adjusted.

We are impressed by Patrick’s innovative thinking.  If you’re a car lover, let us know what you think.

Wow Nice presentation. Best so far as far as presentations are concerned. The case shape is very striking, love it! Strap a bit plain and thin for the case. As far as the sensory flap goes, I think it may go off every time you flick your wrist? Or if you are riding a motor bike maybe it goes off if on your left wrist. Maybe a less common wrist movement would be better then you would have to move your wrist is some unusual way to turn on the watch. It must be so funny to see though. WAIT A SEC…then bend your wrist is some weird angle to see the time. haha. I guess if you have to bend your wrist way back then it wouldn’t go off so much. Hmm this idea maybe a good one….

Nice job patrick. I like the shape. That’s something I would buy!

Fantastic drawings Patrick. It’s kind of retro future from the 50′s. Love the sensory flap for time telling while your hands are on the wheel, brilliant idea. I can see myself cruising the streets with this on. It’s crazy but I love it. Thanks for making my day!

Not a fan of the design. I like the clever idea of the flap though.

Pretty eyecatching aeronautic design of the case.
