Heather says: I decided to try a new version of Relief that has a rectangular display, rather than square, and perhaps is more feasible and readable that my original creation – RELIEF v2. I am still using the concept of having a 3D sort of feel to a digit-inside-digit display, allowing the watch to have a really cool look when LEDs are off.
Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: This design is inspired by a combination of sci-fi and the natural world. I wanted to come up with a design that has a simple clutter free bio-mechanical look with a retro feel that could be worn as a piece of jewellery that happens to also tell the time. “Tentacle” was the result which looks like a cross between an arm from a “War of the worlds” tripod and a crustacean.

Heather says: As a fan of shows such as Dexter, CSI, and other forensic shows, I thought it would be really neat to have a pendant watch that looks like a blood sample.
Design submitted by Patrick from France.
Patrick says: I was influenced, inter alia, by the watch of Sam “Echo” which I find really beautiful.

Peter says: 3D Unlimited is one of my all time favourite TF designs, I really like the simple yet cryptic looking 3D shape of the numbers. I have always wanted to do a design inspired by that concept but using a 3D lens to further exaggerate the effect. “Shard” was the result.
Design submitted by Dimitar from Bulgaria.
Dimitar says: I have worked on a different shape watch with fresh youthful design and after different ideas I chose this one.
It’s a LCD watch with two different ways to display time. The upper half indicates hours and the lower indicates minutes.
Design submitted by Laszlo from Hungary.
Laszlo says: This LCD watch indicate the time with cryptic crystallized numbers in three rows. Hours, minutes and seconds (from top to bottom). Hard to read at the first time but not too complicated if you have some time to invest in learning. (the seconds are very helpful in learning)

Heather says: My brother actually came up with the idea for a watch called PART TIME, and originally designed the digits for it. I submitted these digits back then, but did not have a good presentation for it, so it never showed up on the blog. Now that my 3D skills have improved, I decided it is time for me to resubmit.

Peter says: This is “Discus LCD”, an LCD version of my analogue “Discus” design. The styling is influenced by retro sci-fi as well as more modern sci-fi films.
