Logan says: Many imaginings of the future have a distinct geometry. The lines of this watch will make you feel a part of it. Continue reading
Design submitted by Sam from Germany.
Sam says: This is the smart edition of my Xtal concept. People who saw it in the Design Studio Blog like the futuristic look, a combination of the simple shape and the cryptic numbers. Adding some smartness could make a good product.
Design submitted by Valentin from the USA.
Valentin says: The polygon is my favorite shape so I decided to make a watch with a polygon led format, I called it Vortex.
Design submitted by Andrew from the UK.
Andrew says: The biological / sexual reproduction processes sometime refer to as the Biological clock. I thought what would happen if i based a wrist watch on Male sperm cells fertilising a female ovum / egg. This was the idea behind the Conception design constructed in either IP, White Acetate or Steel. Using one of the following display types / screen: LCD Touch, LED or E-ink / E-paper.
Design submitted by Justin from the UK.
Justin says: I was doing the usual search on the internet for inspiration, logos, weird shapes or scientific influences and I saw the Cern logo (The LHC or Large Hadron Collider) and I was intrigued by the swirl effect and how lines ran off of it. That simple shape gave the impression of movement and velocity…thus, Centrifuge was born.
Design submitted by Sam from Germany & Peter from the UK.
Sam & Peter say: When Pete’s Bio-Metric fingerprint watch concept showed up in the blog, I was like nooooooooo because I had some display tests ready by then – great minds think alike! No other fingerprint concept has been made since then (2011!) so I took my drafts and showed them to Pete. I thought, if there is a new fingerprint watch concept, he should be involved. Pete said yes in perfect english so he and I came up with some ideas for a watch.
Design submitted by Ignacio from Spain.
Ignacio says: I always dream with minimalist and cool watches, with no clock hands and very few elements.
Red Sector is one of those dreams, where simplex, technology and design are mixed to create a futuristic and outlaw watch.
Design submitted by Cory from the USA.
Cory says: The watch is a Touch screen LCD/LED hybrid. It uses a dot matrix composed of Triangles instead of squares. I made this design very music friendly, when a track from your playlist comes up, you can swipe right for next, left for previous. The outer ring is not dissimilar to Rogue Touch and On Air, so the functionality will be familiar to Tokyoflash fans.
Design Submitted by Anders from Sweden.
Anders says: I wanted to try designing something a little more avant-garde and iconic than the smartwatches I’ve seen before. Specifically I aimed to find an interesting way to mix the time display and the Bluetooth indicators. In order to maximize the clarity of the design I’ve tried to keep everything as clean, uncluttered and legible as possible. What I’ve come up with is this; Nippon.
