Peter says: This design was inspired by a computer game logo from a game I played recently. As soon as I saw the logo I thought it would make a great watch face. “Hexecule” was the result.

Sci-Fi Bracelet concept

Lisa says: I wanted something that looked like a crazy future bracelet and not at all like a watch. Does it also tell the weather in space? Communicate with the mothership? People just seeing it on my wrist will never know! The smooth around-the-wrist design makes it look futuristic and not like a watch.

Sam says: XtalV is a variation of my Xtal concept that also used hexagon based numbers. This time I arranged them vertically and so the display looks even more cryptic, like an alien inscription.

Peter says: This is “Raptor”. I didnt really have a preconception for this design. I simply wanted to create an organic design with a simple time telling method. I started off sketching simple organic snake like forms which subconsciously became more engineered.
Detonator LED watch with Predator countdown

Paolo says: I’ve always wanted a device like the one the Predator wears on his wrist. Illegible graphics count down some sort of time. Alien numbers… It just looks so cool.
So I decided to design a watch that resembles that device loosely and counts down in the same fashion every minute.

Colby says: The idea for the ‘Abandon’ came from a long time obsession with anything post-apocalyptic. Recently there’s been an abundance of movies, series and games which embrace nuclear fallout, zombie or robotic-alien themes. When challenged with the task of designing a watch, this was a strong influence.

Sam Says: Xtal is the result of some small sketches I made when having lunch. When I looked back at the paper, I liked the initial mystery of the numbers, the simple geometry of the watch and the general edginess of everything.

Sam says: In the design process for my FOCUS watch I sketched for a concept called ALIEN TATTOO that uses the same way of stacking numbers. Despite the issues, that a transparent screen might bring, I liked the idea of overlapping the wrist with a cool ornamental display. This is how AEON came to being.
Neon watch takes us to an Alien future.

I always liked neon tube displays in sci-fi movies. Back then, when CGI wasn’t used for every little thing. I liked the fact, someone actually built alien symbols of neon tubes, that really work! I was sketching for minimalistic, square based numbers that make a cool neon tube display.

Sam says: This concept began experimentally with sketching for hexagon based numbers. After a while, the numbers developed into these round ones, that consist of six circle segments and a center dot. I played with the number layout and soon everything reminded me of some sci-fi technology.
