Interlaced LED Watch Design

Inspired by subpixels, this watch design divides a segmented digit into red, green, and blue horizontal stripes, and uses the different colors to show hours (red), tens of minutes (green), and single minutes (blue).  In this way, the entire time is shown in the space of one digit. Segments in E-ink Watch

Sam came up with the idea of a 12-5-9 watch with all the time telling LEDs placed on one single circle.  If it is 1:00 there is only one light that fills the whole circle.  If it is 1:23, there are six lights (one for the hours, 2 for the minutes x10, and three for the minutes x1). Fractal Watch Design

Nine Blocks LED Watch

6×5 Grid LED Watch

This watch design is a black ribbon watch with either black or grey raised rubber lines running along its length and width.  These raised rubber lines divide the watch’s surface into a grid of rectangles, the middle 6×5 of which have LEDs that are used to display the time. Continue reading →

Full Square LED Watch
