Andrew says: The biological / sexual reproduction processes sometime refer to as the Biological clock. I thought what would happen if i based a wrist watch on Male sperm cells fertilising a female ovum / egg. This was the idea behind the Conception design constructed in either IP, White Acetate or Steel. Using one of the following display types / screen: LCD Touch, LED or E-ink / E-paper.

Peter says: I was making a working clock of my original SWIRL watch concept as a little project and realised that the concept could be made easier to read by dividing the time telling into two or three displays rather than the single one on the original version, SWIRL II was born.

Jacques says: In a quest for a minimalistic watch I excluded all time reading functionality from the front of the watch and placed it on the side.
It’s actually just a very minimalistic watch on where the time can be read on the side. The dot light represents the hour hand and the ring light the minute hand. The time can be read rather easy but this of course also depends on the hour of the day.
The time reading functionality on the side leaving the front blank, creates a surprising effect, compared to the many watches that have frontal displays with numerous clocks and pointers etc.

Andrew says: This following LED Analogue / Binary concept is inspired by the fossilized shell of a prehistoric creature know as a Ammonite. This concept is a 12-11-4: Incremental LED Display. 12: Hours / Months, 11: Five Minutes / Days groups &4: Single Minutes / Days . This wristwatch is constructed in three material: White Acetate, IP Black or Stainless Steel with various LED colors: See Digrams

Peter says: This is Saturn II, a re-design of my original Saturn concept. Saturn was one of my first concepts submitted to the blog. It never made it onto the blog presumably due to being a little adventurous from a technical perspective.
This version is a lot simpler than the original but still retains the original’s feel.

Justin says: I was doing the usual search on the internet for inspiration, logos, weird shapes or scientific influences and I saw the Cern logo (The LHC or Large Hadron Collider) and I was intrigued by the swirl effect and how lines ran off of it. That simple shape gave the impression of movement and velocity…thus, Centrifuge was born.
