Matt says: I present GRID 2.0
It’s a remake of my Grid watch submission ( https://blog.tokyoflash.com/2014/08/grid-watch-merges-cryptic-digital-time-reading/ ) based on a few suggestions:
Design submitted by Matt from Canada.
Matt says: I wanted a watch that was using 3-4 blocks for the hour/month and color changing LED’s for when the blocks are used for the 2nd/3rd/etc series of numbers. For the minute, I wanted 2 big digits for the minute/day.
I wanted to use a 1 piece lens & add a grid over it. The best size is a challenge. This is why I did 3 pictures/2 3D models. Engraving the lens was another option.
Design submitted by Justin from the UK.
Justin says: I was browsing through a friends mathematics coursework and saw graphs, bar graphs, charts and numbers etc and I noticed how easy it would be to assign the basics of time telling to one of these simple looking forms.
Design submitted by Andy from the Ukraine.
Andy says: I decided to realise a watch concept based on the ancient greek myth of the minotaur and the labyrinth. I used 6 cross-sectioned rectangles to display time.

Patrick says: I was inspired by the latest productions “magnificent” Tokyoflash. Elegant and sober, “GRID-LCD Watch” is intended for modern women and men, in fashion.
