This LCD concept watch design presents the time in negative space. The unlit spaces on the screen show digital numbers which are highlighted by the bright dots around them. The design is in the shape of 2 independent electronic parts – 1 for hours telling and 2 for minutes telling. A colorful binary LED watch design that uses six bi-color LEDs to display the time behind a sleek smoked black lens. Red LEDs indicate hours, yellow LEDs indicate minutes. Binary is simple to understand when you know how and this format of time telling allows for a minimal but unique time display.

Jordan says: “I was looking at past designs, and I liked the look of the Shinshoku band, so I designed my own look-alike. The actual watch face is covered in a sheet of ‘Smart Glass’. This glass can change from fully opaque, to transparent in a matter of milliseconds. Continue reading

Jonny says: “I was fed up seeing really awesome concept watches that I could not buy. It struck me that by law a watch must be a face and a strap. We are unable to buy the watch with a display all the way round your wrist designed by Peugeot or what ever. I wanted a concept that was realistic. Also… every time I look at my watch the face has disappeared to the underside of my wrist. Therefore I designed what looks like a heavy and expensive yet totally kickin’ rad solution.
