“Positive/Negative. Light and Dark. Glass Half Empty or Glass Half Full?” The theme of Laszlo’s latest concept is clear when you look at the two adjacent screens on the interface of this design. The time display is not dissimilar to that of the Pimp range of watches from Tokyoflash Japan.

A new concept design from the Tokyoflash Design Studio.
An analog watch concept from the Tokyoflash Design Studio. The metal case of the watch has two analog dials which indicate hours and minutes. Luminous paint behind the hands of the dials help to illuminate the time and add an interesting natural lighting effect.

This idea comes from the trinity of hours, minutes, and seconds. 24 hours and 60 minutes and seconds added together and divided by two makes 72; one fifth of 360. Hence, the 72 LEDs around the face. 12 red for hours, 30 yellow for minutes, and 30 blue for seconds. Continue reading
