Devindh says: “When I was a child I owned an LCD digital watch that had its screen accidentally cracked. I remember being saddened to see the entire face blacked out by Liquid Crystal. This design takes that incident and uses it as the inspiration for a Hybrid Analog/LCD wrist watch.

This time, I use an imaginary center line to divide the watch into two parts: One always black, the other one whatever is possible. I planned to let “the other side” be also transparent even. A bracelet style wrist watch design, the whole case and strap of which are covered with squares. The LEDs are placed in accordance with the allocation of the square. The upper 12 LEDs indicate the hours, in the middle: 11 LEDs indicate of 5-55 minutes. The lower 4 LEDs indicate 1-1 minutes. Continue reading
