Skyguard LED watch takes flight.

Design submitted by Igor from Serbia.

Igor says: I was looking at some space and pilot watches and I wanted to create something with that theme. Sharp and robust design were main words. This model could be a new breed of LED pilot and space style watches.

I was looking for clean, easy time telling LED watch. Most of pilot watches have very big dials for easier reading of time. So I divided hours and minutes for better visibility. Hour markers and dial are made from black plastic.

Men, aged 20 – 35 y.o., in Europe and North America are main target group. Students, young artists … Anyone in that age who wants to have big, impressive, themed watch.

This design is mix between classic and modern. It combines a classic way of watch design with impurity of new type of display and time telling.

  1. Hi, Igor! It’s hard to not like this, I like the overall presentation. I’m having a hard time understanding how to read the 24 hours. For instance, I don’t understand why the middle time is 16:51 instead of 4:51? There is no AM/PM indicator, correct?

  2. Apart from the AM/PM issue (and I am happy with a 12 hour watch anyway), this is a good design. I personally would prefer to be able to see the individual minute LEDs as in the exploded watch, but others may like it as it is. Good luck with this Igor.

    • Thanks Nev. One of the variations was the individual minute LED’s, but my opinion was that it was too many of them and i didn’t like it. But I will try to make something with individual minute LED. Cheers! 🙂

  3. Nice, effective design, Igor! I guess the only issue I have is that it seems similar to other designs on the market/ blog. Looks groovy, though.

  4. Hi Igor, I have to agree with a few of the points already made. I like the simple clean look and the presentation. The time telling is intuitive and easy for the majority. Like Nev I think I’d prefer to see the individual min blocks.
Like DZ I like the watch but feel that it isn’t quite different enough. If I saw it in a shop with regular watches it would jump out at me but on the blog it is less unique. Maybe some more unusual materials would help it stand out from others. Best of luck sir! 😀

    • Thank you Pete. The theme was space and sky, and I wanted to do something on that manner, but it’s interpreted in TF manner. Bad grade is a call for something unusual, so that’s my next approach. Cheers! 😀

      • I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the rating as there has been a lot of un-realistic down-rated scores. I tend to pay more attention to the comments and shares. Also I probably have more exotic taste than the average TF fan so take my comment with a pinch of salt too! 😉

  5. Watch looks cool and relatively easy to read. I think dzign555 was right but yeah cool is cool. I’m not the target market since I’m in SEA but would consider buying one if it’s realized.

  6. This watch and the Spider are by far the most amazing watches (aesthetically and creatively) on this entire website. Lots of amazing other however, I just happen to like these two the most.

  7. I like the overall look & specially the 12th hour dual marker. But I wouldn’t buy because it’s not unusual enough. ( & I might have similar idea in my sketchbook)
