Turbine watch spins you up to speed.

Design submitted by Timur from Kyrgyzstan.

Timur says: I want you to meet my next design called “Turbine”. Very simple design of the dial is similar to the turbine aircraft.

The original way of telling time: this watch has 12 trapeziums; each of them is responsible to show a certain hour. The small lines inside the trapeziums are minutes. The circle in the center with small lines shows seconds. For example, now the 6th trapezium is glowing, and the three lines inside the trapezium are on, at the same time in the circle, which is responsible for seconds, 36 small lines are lightening. This means that time is 06:08 minutes and 36 seconds.

  3. Hi Timur, this project is very friendly and deserves 5 * / Yes!
Small technical issue reading: 9:44 the blue circle and bars, should not be on the “8”?

  7. It’s nicely presented Timur (as usual), but the time-telling method doesn’t really work for me. It seems counter-intuitive, For example, when displaying 12:59, I feel it might be better if 4 of the lines in the preceding trapezium were lit up so that the display shows 12:55 + 4. Also, I feel it might be better if only the trapezium designating the hour was lit up at such times as 8:00. By the way, what do the 2 groups of 3 illuminated lines at the top and bottom of the watch signify? Is it the alarm?

  8. I just now looked at both designs. Actually they are different. I like Timur’s, but first one also looks nice.

  9. I like the idea & the overall look. I prefer the version with the 3 lines under & over the case, because it add a bit of character. I like that you took the time to add the seconds & like that they are close to the center. This add a continuous movement.

    5* and I would buy.
