A Smart Watch Design Inspired by Tron.

David says: This is my idea for a bluetooth smart watch. It has an LCD display showing icons when you receive a call, email, message etc. It has strong lighting on the case like the lines of neon light in the Tron movie.

The watch tells the time using two rings of LCD. The inside ring shows 12 hours, the outside shows 60 minutes.

There are two very different outlooks. The first design is refined with detailed lines, shapes and markers.

The second outlook is dynamic, futuristic and very bold. Which outlook you prefer is a matter of choice.

This design would suit people who like to stand out and wear something that has a sci-fi feel. It also has functions that will be useful for smartphone users – to get notifications at a glance. The lighting areas, shown by the blue lines on the case and strap light up when you have a notification or for animations whenever you like.

It has new functions and has LCD so the time is always on and has a strong light up effect for a real Tron look!

  1. There’s already an awesome watch inspired by Tron in the range. This just comes across as a poorer, chunkier, imitation.

  2. I don’t think that it looks worse than the Kisai Seven. It looks pretty cool actually. But unfortunately it’s too close to the existing watch. Tokyoflash tend to look for diversion so this concept wouldn’t make it. So I wouldn’t try to improve an existing design but try to rethink time in general. Maybe there is a chance, good luck. If not, it’s still a nice work to look at.

This looks very nice! and I like the fact you made it proportionally realistic, that way if it did get made it wouldnt be a dissapointment if TF couldnt make it paper thin etc. I would have liked to see more of the smart watch features, icons etc. BTW I prefer the more subtle lighting (for feedback 😉 ). The only real question is whether there is room for two Tron inspired watches in TF’s range. Only time will tell, 5/Y Best of luck David and welcome to the blog! 😀

  9. Love the idea of the smart watch. But the tron look is done and over. LED can be done lots of ways but I’d prefer no tron look. People who will want it won’t always want tron. However you have my vote nicely done
