Laszlo says: What sort of watch display would make heads turn? Perhaps one that looks like only half a watch. The hexagonal case of the “HALF WATCH” is split vertically so that the LCD display screen takes up only the right-hand portion of the hexagon.
This distinctive shape allows for easier time reading. The twelve hours, shown along the outer perimeter, can easily be read/counted, as there is room for 4 hours along each of the three edges. The sixty concentric minutes are displayed in the interior, twenty along each edge, with a longer segment to mark off every 5 or 10 minutes, also easing the counting.
There are some geometric accents on the case above and below the display, inspired by the orientation of the hexagon. These add to the decor, and also allow the case to better accommodate a metal strap. The watch has a backlight feature, and is shown here in black and in silver.

Yes yes yes yes yes. Hexagons are a new watch face design that will be marketable to anyone trying to find something new and radical. The time is also easy to read and can quickly be identified.

I think there should be reason to justify why the half part is just nothing, but made for the sake of design alone. I suggest the blank part is utilized for movement module, and you can make the LCD translucent. It would look more unique with transparent display.

Looks nice and stealthy and the half display works well. I agree with Fir that it does kinda need a reason for the half screen. If the other half was a solar panel etc. also I agree with a comment on fb, it would be nice if the strap segments were chevron shaped to follow on from the hexy case. Nice one, Laszlo. This is one of my favourites from you – I love a half-watch concept. It reminds me of a couple of the Nekura watches in that respect – one of which I recently purchased. 5y

I like the idea & the overall look. I like that 1/2 can go under a long sleeve shirt / jacket. I don’t feel like something is missing on the unused half, but the logo could be engraved.
