Binary LED watch minimal, sleek …and geeky!

Design submitted by Laszlo from Hungary.

Laszlo says: 12-5-9 — Binary hybrid LED watch with. Indicates the time in three columns in binary format. The first is the hours, the second is the ten minutes and the third is the single minutes.

Easy-to-read, when you know the binary numbers.

  1. The watch: Looks classy and simple. Maybe it could use a frame around the glass part around the face to make it look more…. Complete? The watch in its entirety is a little plain. The band could be more intricate or detailed to help spruce it up 🙂

The screen: Not a huge fan of the binary style and don’t get me wrong, but this method of reading isn’t completely original. However, you’ve executed it delightfully and still managed to keep it really simple.

For those reasons, you’ve got a 4* and a well done from me 🙂

  2. Ahhh, missed opportunity. There are 24 hours in a day, yet you only show 12…Nope I like the watch but only allow 12 hours is a deal breaker.

  3. Very clean and sleek design! Im not the biggest fan of binary as my brain struggles with such, but this might make me try to learn. Best of luck! 😀

  4. Nicely done, like the smooth simple look to it, and as much as binary hurts my brain too I would have one 5/Y 🙂

  5. I’m not a fan of binary but the display is simply cryptic looking with just rectangles, so that’s an achievement. 4*

  6. This watch is right up my street; sleek, minimal and stylish. Love the slightly curved face and from owning a binary watch for over a year now (wearing almost every day) i would say i can read the time even more easily than i can a digital watch! after such extensive use my watch is starting to look quite worn so hopefully it gets made soon 😉

  7. i’m generally not a fan of binary, because it’s too much thinking – but this one is only one digit at a time, so it’s easy!!! love it! 5*

  8. Don’t know why, but there’s something missing for me. I think it needs to be LCD, always on. In my opinion, if it were LCD you could make it more interesting. Funny, I’ve gone off LED watches – analogue or LCD for me. Anyway, the basic watch is stylish, so I’ll give you 4*. And I like binary…

  9. At first I was not sure if it was good to combine both system ( 12-5-9 / binary ), but since the binary system give a less clustered look to the 12-5-9, and the 12-5-9 system make it a easy 1st binary watch for those that are not used to that system, I like it. ( I have a binary watch so it’s not a problem for me ) This make it a 5*.

I also like the overall look. I would buy if it was a LCD. ( I might buy it in LED, if LCD is not possible to make )
