Lock-On Wrist Watch Design

Cory says: “Like every boy growing up, I wanted to be a fighter pilot or an astronaut. Applying the heads up display “lock on” view to a watch design seemed like a cool concept.

Hours markings are positioned on the center piece just in the same positions as numbers on a clock face. Groups of five minutes go up the left side where the airspeed indicator would be. Four single minutes with 15 second interval indicators go up the right side where the altimeter would be. The triangle in the middle indicates PM.

This watch design would be great for anyone who longed to be a fighter pilot in their youth, or any fans of Mecha based anime. I think it’s a design that anyone could enjoy.

I tried to go for a straight forward approach, that would a real “Heads Up Display” look like if removed from a Jet fighter and wrapped with a watch band.

Just encouraged you to show us more from you and boom! another watch. Ok, before reading the description, I see the display is airplane HUD inspired and that’c very cool. Ok, let me read…

Yeah cool! I made radar/sonar/scanner watches and hoped to let them look THAT military but didn’t make it. The only thing I need to criticize in this watch is the width and the thickness of the strap. As wide as the first segment attached to the case and as thin as the case would be nicer for me. This watch is really cool and appeals to videogamers too, and that’s a biiig audience. The Kisai logo… It look ok on the flat, more rectangular case.

Thanks, Sam! I’ll try and put up a few more renders tonight… The ’15’ mark didn’t render properly and I didn’t notice until after I had submitted :(. It was between pixels in the render so it came out as ‘5’ instead of ’15’ Luckily the diagram and example times had it right, so no big 😀

Funky pip boy….that led light is really make me blind if see it at dark location..

This is a very nice design, reminds me to Splinter Cell and Syphon Filter. The only thing I would change is the belt of the watch, but that’s just me.

Yeah I agree with beto. Everything but the strap is cool. Im a gamer and I like this watch pretty much. It has a simple case, the flat square it very cool. The green military display rocks! Five stars!
