Domino Dots Display The Time

I decided to realise a domino-watch using boxes and points. Three boxes at the top of the watch first means the first digit of the hour and six boxes at the bottom of the display means first digit of the minutes. The Domino dots at the top of the display indicates the second digit of the hour and domino dots at the bottom of the display indicates the second digit of the minutes. An “always on” LCD watch design with color changeable LED backlighting. The upper left 6 segments indicate 5×2 hours and +1 hour. “I wanted to make an LCD design that would include seconds, as that is a desirable feature that few currently available watches have. I was also inspired by Sam’s Online watch concept, which uses just the outlines of digits on both sides.  I extended the concept by letting the digits be read in the negative space, between changing n-sided polygons (n-gons). Kamon Watch Design Inspired By Japanese Emblems

This watch design has an always on touchscreen LCD display and features time and date, plus alarm mode. The time is indicated by three column (hours, minutes and seconds). Easy to read, just count the sticks!

Spider watch spins up a web of time.

A new concept from the Tokyoflash Design Studio.

‘Spider’, as the name suggests, is inspired by a spiders web. It uses hexagonal rings, similar to a web, to display numbers in a concentric pattern.

Sudoku watch puzzles the mind whilst telling the time.

A new concept from the Tokyoflash Design Studio.

Quite simply, the watch face is a game of Sudoku. The missing numbers need to be solved to read the time.

The display is LCD & features would include date, alarm, EL backlight. The touch screen can be used to reveal the answers.

Sam says: “I combined two ideas I had into this watch. The first idea came from the backlight of a car. I had this idea about the same time when I made my go-stop watch. Here again, I am using white light and cover it with colored plastic.
