Andrew says: Kabuki (4-in-1): is inspired by the LED Helmet masks worn by the french electronic music artists: Daft Punk. But instead of using LED’s this display uses a touch screen LCD or E-ink Display & is constructed various bracelet materials each with up to eight LED colors options each to choose from: Blue, Cyan, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, or Yellow.

This watch has an always on display, but after a certain period of inactivity say 1 minute, the Screen’s Eyelids Close & the digits become hidden from View.

However, transparent displays are uncommon and still appear futuristic to us. An idea of a transparent watch is fascinating to me. Peter says: This is “QuadOrbium” The watch is loosely inspired by the humble bicycle combination lock.
The gyneric format of the inspiration tends to consist of four discs with numbers printed on them that your scroll untill the correct combination of numbers are displayed and the lock can be disengaged.

Sam Says: Xtal is the result of some small sketches I made when having lunch. When I looked back at the paper, I liked the initial mystery of the numbers, the simple geometry of the watch and the general edginess of everything.

Jose says: I could say that this idea came to me after exciting reading about the machine “Enigma”, developed by the Germans to encrypt their messages during II World War, or has been the result of using a metalanguage as Leetspeak, or such once a strange code suggested by a science fiction movie, but none of this would be true. The truth, is that the idea came accidentally to stay absorbed looking at the mini keyboard of my Macbook; suddenly, there it was, the first line of keys, and above each number a symbol, and thus the ¡1 to 0!.

Andrew says: The following dual LCD touch screen watch is inspired by one of the oldest ways to tell time a sand clock or Hour Glass Clock. Where Sand runs out of a Top Camber in to bottom Chamber with a certain amount of time: One Minute.
