(English) Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: This is “Trylon LCD” an LCD version of the original Trylon concept.
Like the original design this watch is inspired by the image of the “flux capacitor” from the time traveling Delorean from the “back to the future” movies combined with a hint of Cylon. The name “Trylon” came from the combination of the “Y” shape face and Cylon like display.

(English) Design submitted by Heather from the USA.
Heather says: I thought about how when drawing round objects to make them look 3D, it often helps to include a reflection on the curved surface. Inspired by this idea, and the technology used for Kisai Rogue, I developed this pendant watch for ladies, called Droplet. On a long chain, it’s easy for the wearer to turn it around to see the time, yet still have a neat looking fashion accessory. Other people probably won’t even realize it’s telling the time.

(English) Design submitted by Anders from Sweden.
Anders says: I’ve tried to design it to sit somewhere between art deco, raygun gothic and steampunk.
It is a classic analog watch where the ‘pole’ of the globe indicates the hour, the thin end of the inner orbit marks the minute, and the outer orbit the seconds. This ensures that the display is constantly moving at a noticeable speed, giving a more dynamic impression. Read the rest of this entry »

Design submitted by Cory from the USA.
Cory says: “I’m a big fan of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and my favorite character was always the Cheshire Cat. I don’t much care for most of the depictions of the cat in popular culture, so I thought I would make my own. Most depictions of the cat are either too playful, or too sinister. I aimed to create a work of art that depicted the cat as mischievous, playful, and a tad sinister; one that is also a timepiece. Read the rest of this entry »

(English) Design submitted by Andreas from Germany.
Andreas says: “Watching the starcraft 2 trailer I saw Arcturus looking at his pocket watch.
