Design submitted by Ignacio from Spain.
Ignacio says: This is a redesign of my first idea published on tokyoflash blog, Ronu. I always loved my first idea, but in 2011 (the year I designed it), I had no idea of 3D, as you can see. It’s some ugly the design I did, isn’t?
That’s why I redesign it, trying to do the best I know to date, trying to refresh it, to upgrade it.

Design submitted by Sam from Gemany.
Sam says: t³ stands for tactile triangle time. The t³ is also a hint for the third dimension that this watch concept takes advantage of. I like watches and concepts with a tactile interface and really liked to make my own.

Design submitted by Heather from the USA.
Heather says: I started to think about a cool way to show numbers by making use of the negative space. So I tilted the digits, and zoomed in, cutting off the upper left and bottom right corner of each digit, which surprisingly does not affect the ability to identify them.

Design submitted by Jordan from Canada.
Jordan says: After a long absence from the blog, I decided it was time to try again and after reading up on the reactions to my previous submission, Aurora, I chose to re-think, re-model, re-render and, of course rename it, resulting in this newer, classier watch: Moonwalker, ultimately inspired by one of my favorite watches – the Movado Luno.

Design submitted by Sam from Germany.
Sam says: I was trying to find a minimalistic style for an analog watch without losing reading comfort.
The idea is simple. So simple that I’m still not sure, if this hasn’t been thought of before. There is a ring with a gap that tells the hour. The part of the ring, that’s missing, wanders around it and tells the minutes. Done.

Design submitted by Ignacio from Spain.
Ignacio says: I love drawing. One day, making circles with compass, I decided to design a watch where joining 3 points (time) drew a circle. And so did this design.

Design submitted by Sam from Germany.
My idea is an LCD display, that reacts to light, like a human eye does. To express this idea, I let myself inspire by HAL 9000, the ship’s computer in Stanley Kubrick’s motion picture 2001: a space odyssey. Read the rest of this entry »
