Eivind says: I got my inspiration from classic science fiction, like 2001: A Space Odyssey and games like Mass effect and Deus EX. I liked the minimalistic design of the equipment and different tools. The style is simple, but it stands out. I also got inspiration from the popular products on the market today, like an iPhone or a pair of beats by Dr.Dre headphones.

Peter & Sam say: The idea for this concept originates from the Ouija board and the practice of a message being created, influenced by an invisible force.
The watch tells the time using a similar principle. The face has a series of numbers and symbols which are highlighted by a lens which moves around the face by an invisible force, constructing a ‘sequence’ of numbers which, when assembled in ones mind, communicates the time. Continue reading →
Sam says: This project ran under the working title “chameleon” just like my Canvas watch concept did. I have fun, creating adaptable concepts. It’s a contemporary feature because it’s fun to customise. Canvas was a relatively high tech version of the chameleon idea. This watch – Inch – is a haptical and simple version. One inch, that is the width of a strap in any flexible material which you can stick into the watch and therefore adapting it to your taste.
The idea for this watch design was based on a kids toy which consisted of a clear plastic packet of iron filings that could be manipulated with a magnet to create images or decorate pre-determined images. Continue reading →
