Jonny says: “I was fed up seeing really awesome concept watches that I could not buy. It struck me that by law a watch must be a face and a strap. We are unable to buy the watch with a display all the way round your wrist designed by Peugeot or what ever. I wanted a concept that was realistic. Also… every time I look at my watch the face has disappeared to the underside of my wrist. Therefore I designed what looks like a heavy and expensive yet totally kickin’ rad solution. They interviewed people on the streets and asked, “What is this little pocket for?” The most people said, it is for coins, chewing gum packages or condoms. A simple watch design that uses an LCD screen backlit with colored LEDs to display the time. The digits of time are camouflaged within the lines of the display. Cracked – Hybrid Analog LCD Watch Design

Devindh says: “When I was a child I owned an LCD digital watch that had its screen accidentally cracked. I remember being saddened to see the entire face blacked out by Liquid Crystal. This design takes that incident and uses it as the inspiration for a Hybrid Analog/LCD wrist watch.

This time, I use an imaginary center line to divide the watch into two parts: One always black, the other one whatever is possible. I planned to let “the other side” be also transparent even. It’s a Blue Watch Design

Laszlo says: “BLUE” could be a watch designed using LCD or LEDs. With high polished stainless steel case and strap, this concept displays the time like my older (Baransu) watch design. 5 LEDs in the first row show 5×2 hours, in the second row the 1 LED is 1 hour. 5 LEDS in the third row indicates 5×10 minutes, in the fourth row the LED is 5 minutes and in the fifth row the 4 LEDs is 4×1 minute.
