This design incorporates both a pulse sensor built-in to the bracelet / strap & kinetic motion sensors in the watch face. The pulse combined with the amount of movement gauges the user mood & this alters the color of control buttons & LED back light. I call this concept: Impulse

Half Tone LED watch inspired by news print effect

Wilhelm says: The idea for this watch module came from the square metal grids used in the building industry, combined with 2 methods for reading time, the normal digital “grid” mode for easy time telling and the “quattro” binary method for reading digital time, hence the name “Quattrogrid”.

Splinter LED watch with vertical animating display

Peter says: This design is a back to basics LED (could be LCD) watch which features a narrow column of lights to describe the time. This narrow column of lights gives the watch a minimalistic – futuristic and mysterious look. Ideally this column would be semi transparent both front and back to show a hint of the internals and let light glow thru even when the display is off. The narrow dimension of the display allows for the material and finishes to do the talking.

Perimeter LCD watch with a digital hour hand

Peter says: The idea for this design is a back to basics LED or LCD watch with a digital/analogue time telling method.

The time is told in an analogue format using digits to act as the marker in a similar way to “On Air” but in this case the digits live in a perimeter around the outside of the display.
