KAKU watch uses Kanji strokes to tell time

Sam says: KAKU is a 12-5-9 concept that uses kanji with different stroke counts instead of numbers. The inspiration came when looking up a kanji in a dictionary. The kanji were sorted by components, reading and also the amount of stokes, that are required to write them.

Digital Warp LCD watch replicates a black hole on your wrist.

Peter says: This is “Digital Warp” an always on LCD watch. This design just came from an image that popped into my head. The image was digits that were distorted around a circle “warped” if you like. So I just made four digits concentric wrapped around each other as if they were being sucked into a black hole in the centre of the display.

Lisa says: I wanted something that looked like a crazy future bracelet and not at all like a watch. Does it also tell the weather in space? Communicate with the mothership? People just seeing it on my wrist will never know! The smooth around-the-wrist design makes it look futuristic and not like a watch.

Sphere LED watch creates 3D illusion.

Heather says: I was thinking about how I could make a flat LED display appear 3D, and it occurred to me that I could give the appearance of a sphere by using some curved lines.  Then I broke up some of these lines asymmetrically to form four digits, each comprised of 5 rows of 3 dashes.
