Heather says: ZAG was inspired by Firdaus’ V watch concept.  I started with a similar V, but turned it on its side, gave it an overlap, and decided that 4 separate digits in this format would look really cool on a bracelet style watch.

Split watch slices through time.

Matthew says: I came up with this concept while I was working on another concept. I started to play around with the logo. I cropped off the top part of the logo, and placed it basically right next to the bottom half. This gave me the inspiration of creating a design that can be easily read, while the top half of the number is sliced from the bottom half of the number.

Anacube: A geometric, analogue style LCD watch.

Peter says: Since my participation in the blog I have had a few ideas for watch design inspired by cube like forms. 3D Unlimited is one of my favourite TF designs and I love the simple but cryptic looking geometry. I have often thought it would be great if it was possible to create an analogue version. “Anacube” was the result. This design also takes a few cues form the internationally recognised puzzle “Rubik” cube.

The Butterfly Effect: Monarch LCD watch.

Heather says: I was playing around with radially distorted digits arranged within a circular display.  By using the sectors of the display to the right and left, the time creates a silhouette that is reminiscent of a butterfly, so I call this concept Monarch.
