The “Laser RadiusBeam Watch” runs through reflection emitted by laser beams, which leave the center and come to reflect on the statement outside the perimeter of the watch. A colored laser gives the hour and another colored laser gives the minutes. Even though it reads like a normal watch, this design is anything but normal. Read the diagrams below to find out more and don’t forget to vote if you like this concept design.

The soul of an LCD is polarized light. The analog animation in this watch bears that soul.
Polarizer is a mixed digital-analog LCD watch with an electroluminescent backlight. The digital part is obvious: twelve LCD segments at the top count the hours, and two segmented digits are displayed at the bottom for the minutes. Read the rest of this entry »

Design submitted by Anders from Sweden.
Anders says: “I’ve been wanting to do a design using e-paper, as well as one with a wrap-around display for some time. Also, I’ve wanted to use square displays more. It’s not until now however I’ve come up with a combination of these components in one idea I feel is strong enough. Read the rest of this entry »

This is a development on Laszlo’s previous watch design “Baransu” except the blocks that make up the interface are diagonal instead of horizontal. This ensures that the display is completely full of LEDs. The time is displayed as graphics and there is no other decorative element.

Design submitted by Laszlo from Hungary.
Laszlo’s latest concept uses a round case and rings of LEDs that move from the outer edge of the interface to the centre to create a 3D impression of lighting. The color of the ring indicates different elements of time; red = hours 1-12, yellow = five minute groups 5-55 and white = single minutes 1-4.
