(English) Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: 3D Unlimited is one of my all time favourite TF designs, I really like the simple yet cryptic looking 3D shape of the numbers. I have always wanted to do a design inspired by that concept but using a 3D lens to further exaggerate the effect. “Shard” was the result.

(English) Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: Since my participation in the blog I have had a few ideas for watch design inspired by cube like forms. 3D Unlimited is one of my favourite TF designs and I love the simple but cryptic looking geometry. I have often thought it would be great if it was possible to create an analogue version. “Anacube” was the result. This design also takes a few cues form the internationally recognised puzzle “Rubik” cube.

(English) Design submitted by Sam from Germany.
Sam says: I like the idea of a circular 12-5-9 watch because it looks cryptic and familiar at the same time. Inspired by the possibilities of colored LCD (Kisai 3D Unlimited), I made this colorful RBG LCD concept. Read the rest of this entry »

(English) Design submitted by Firdaus (Malaysia) and Heather (USA)
Firdaus & Heather say: The display for this LCD watch concept, Codex Cube, was inspired by the Kisai 3D Unlimited display. By using triangular digits (originally developed for our previous Codex submission) instead of rectangular ones, we can display two digits on each “face”, allowing room for hours, minutes, and alas, the ever-changing seconds.

(English) Design submitted by Peter from the UK.
Peter says: This is an LCD version of Tricircle. I wanted to improve the feasibilty of manufacture of this design by using technology familiar to Tokyoflash. This version uses a Mirror LCD like 3D Unlimited in conjuction with a Lens (3D) in the shape of the rings used in the original analogue version. This give the display a 3D look which looks very similar to the original anaolgue version. Read the rest of this entry »

(English) A concept design from the Tokyoflash Design Studio.
A revision on the 3D Unlimited concept sees the interface transferred into a round case and a hexagonal case. This design could have a colored LCD panel, to ensure that the time is “always on” and readable at a glance. 4 digits of time are simply woven into the display in a 3D effect.
The question is, which would you rather wear: ”A”: a hexagonal case design or “B”: a round case design? Let us know A or B in the comments section below and don’t forget to check “yes or no” to let us know if you would buy this design. Read the rest of this entry »

A concept wrist watch that uses an OEL panel to display the time. With a lenticular lens above the interface, the illusion of depth is created, resulting in a unique 3D effect.
The time is displayed simply in digits on the 3D cube beneath the lens – an unusual visual way to show time. No 3D glasses required! Read the rest of this entry »
