Orbit LED watch with unusual analog style

Design submitted by Timur from Kyrgyzstan.

Timur says: I called this new watch design “Orbit” because when you look at it – you get the impression as planets going around the sun. In the very center of the dial-plate we can see the seconds which look like the sun.

There are 60 lines which are responsible for seconds. Then we have 4 circles surrounding the sun that are showing hours. Each of them divided to 3 parts, so this will make 12 hours.

Minutes are will be presented by 12 circles surrounding the clock-face. Each of the 12 circles divided to 5 parts, so this will make 60 minutes.

In this watch, which hour is it only this part will be lightening, we have to count hours before that hours also.

For example, if it is 9 o’clock, all three parts will be lightening. If only two of them are on, it means that it is 8 o’clock. If only one part is shines, so it is 7 o’clock. Minutes also work by this principle.

  1. Solid concept that was beautifully executed, Timur! I think I’d want 2 colors minumum, possibly three: heavenly bodies one, minutes/hours two and the paths being the 3rd. Great renderings too! 5*/y!

  2. It feels a little complicated at first glance but is pretty simple when you get used to it. It’s got a great look and feels very tokyoflashy! 5/Y good job Timur! Best of luck! 😀

  3. Good work on the display, it looks like it strikes a good balance between readability and complexity. If there’s one thing I’d change it would be to adjust which light signifies which hour. Other than that I think it’s very good. Should be easy to manufacture as well, which is always a good thing! =)
