I like the idea to hide the # in an object but dislike the 90degree couter-clockwise angle. I like the animation.

Comprehensible How about having all houses in a row and a comfortably narrow/wide display (hehe) and having the street scrolling through slowly. A gap would mark the end/the beginning. See, I’m sticking with the street theme which is really cooool Lloyd.

Cheers for commenting Sam. I thought about doing those things too, but the 2X2 array looked a bit boring to me and I thought the other way would be too wide. It’s hard to know what to do sometimes. lol I knew there could be a problem with putting a watch with houses on this blog, but I thought it might appeal to the more playful and imaginative. Anyway, thanx for your encouragement!

Lovely concept Lloyd I would take away the seconds so you can relaxingly look at the four houses. Maybe a 3×2 array would work too, looking more streety. I think this would look awesome as a wallclock. Good luck and keep the ideas coming!

Hi Justin, you don’t need to turn your head to read the numbers. The human brain is extremely adaptable in recognising new concepts, and after looking at the sideways digits a few times your brain would decipher them easily. It would be much easier than deciphering how to operate a mobile phone (something most people can do)!
And yes, I think Lloyd has done a nice job too! It is a unique display and very cool.

Actually, xian, they aren’t arrows, they are houses with doors and windows. The numbers have to be on their sides to make the positioning of the windows and doors look reasonably convincing. I had other ideas for this too but I sent this one in first. I’m sorry you got 3.1 for your idea. Actually, it’s not that bad, so don’t let that put you off submitting more ideas. TF don’t take too much notice of the scores anyway.

I think my entry fell victim to them as well–after a month mine ended at where yours is now, 3.1 stars.

I like the arrows, but I’d want the numbers turned 90 deg as well.
