I didnt realise the comments were still open ^^
I placed the hours on the inside ring as this seemed more intuative as the hour hand on an analogue watch tends to be the shortest. But it would be nice if the user had the choice to invert the rings if they too have your preference. The green is probably my fav too so a fine choice sir!

I like the overall look and the time-telling method. I like the wire version and prefer positive to negative. I would like if the hours where placed at the outer ring and the 5 minutes where placed at the inner ring, to be closer to the 4 single minute. My favs are the green and the red.

Yeah I prefer the positive time telling too (in both facet and wire) I imagine that the facet version is the more feasible of the two. The positive time telling would also be the less power hungry I guess.
Regarding the flashing topic Im more than happy to listen to your experience, I have no real preference (would be nice if you could choose between flashing and non-flashing)

Do you think I should include a consecutively iluminated 12-5-9 version too (like you suggested on another design due for the blog) where if the hour is five, five LEDs are illuminated etc?

I dig this design on several levels. The hex, the angles of the face, the mirror quality and it fits together nicely, is easy to tell the time.

I prefer the positive facet style where the hour is colour & the rest is left blank/mirror (as in the white/green renderings) but thats just my taste.
I think its best to avoid flashing segments though. Flashing is OK to attract attention to something but its best not to use it to convey information. I know we have watches that have done this before, in hindsight it makes it harder to read.

Big thanks regarding the “WIRE” version as this was Sam’s suggestion after seeing earlier images on my FB page.
So qudos to you sir!
Yeah the new images are lights shining thu glass so have a more natural look and adds to the jewelry facet theme (ideal for ladies etc)
hehe 4 weeks lol, 4 days may be more realistic lol!
Yeah the time reading doesnt get much easier or intuative.

The two dimensional light areas on a 3 dimensional interpretation of a four dimensional object is super geeky and good looking. I’d like to have this cause it’s not flat and HEXAGONY♥ I like how much is going on there but how contained it is – the exact opposite to your HUD idea. The wire ones look great and the one you use as your profile pic (mind the date, when you read this in 4 weeks, Pete might have another one) cause the LEDs look more realistic there. Well, realism back’n'forth, even if it were a sketch, I’d be convinced by this idea. The time reading can’t be easier: outer, inner, center – piece of cake. 5*/YES sir.
