The reason for the numbers being random as apposed to in chronological is so that the missing number is less obvious. If they were in order it would be much easier to see the missing numbers. This could be a mode so the wearer could choose (like levels of difficulty) Yeah the dials do kinda resemble old retro telephones ^^

I love it ! except for 1 thing : the number are not “chronological”.

I realized that if there was small circle around every small number, it would look like the circle on the old phone when people had to turn a dial to the number they wanted, release it, & do it again until the full phone number was dialed. ( with the 3rd pic )

Im glad you like it BB, The concept is based on one LCD with a facia over the top which in theory should be the most cost effective way. So in theory should be relatively cheap to make. So if I was taking a guess it should be at the lower to middle of TF’s prices. Thanks for the interest and the comment!

Thanks for taking a second look. I think with a little practice people would just recognise which was missing with having to concentrate. Its a bit like when a word is spelt incorrectly (even if like me you cant spell for toffee) you know its incorrect because it looks wrong. Thats the theory anyway.

We did discus another format which was even easier to spot the missing number, but Im not sure if Lloyd used it on another design. So I better not spill the beans just in case. This other format would work very well with the ring shaped displays and be more intuative.

Heather, I think it’s a LOT easier to read than the Sudoku watch. After a few goes you get to see pretty quickly which digit is missing from each ring. But, it’s like Pete says, everyone has different propensities.
