Time is about to run out on this post, so thanks to everyone who voted, commented and shared.
Keep your eyes peeled for the MkII version when it hits the blog. Hopefully it will strike more of a cord than this version did.

Helixed surface make it more steampunk. But the weight have to be equallly distributed around the disk, be as light as possible and need a higher torque movement because if it's like a turning-disc clock, a normal one will do this : when the weight is higher at the 3 o'clock position it will pull the weight down at the 6 o'clock and when the movement will want to get the time at 7 o'clock the weight will pull it down and destroy the movement. A single-hand display don't have this problem.
( I learned that the last year when I planned to do a turning-disk clock )

You know more than me regarding the movement side of things! (thats not difficult! lol) Im glad you like it!
Yeah I think it would look cool with more conventional hands too. Thanks for the feedback and the comments! :D
Keep your eye out for MKII when it eventually hits the blog!

Yeah two movements seemed the simplest way around the two dials situation without having to search for a suitable duel movement or the cost of developing a gearbox to power the two displays. I imagined a lightweight plastic for the discs, the satin finish looks nice with a metallic case. The discs could have cut outs to let the light through from underneath. Alternatively they could be a clear plastic with a coating over the majority excluding the illuminated parts which would give a similar effect. Thanks for the feedback!

I love dual-dial watches. ( like the Marvin M014/M024 & the Rolex Cellini Prince ). I would buy even if it was two hand instead of helixed surface.

Usually those type of watch have two movements. ( I think ! based on the Marvin M014/M024 ) The choice of the material and it's thickness is important, because if it's too heavy, the movement souldn't work.

Im pretty easy regarding the details, so it wouldn't need to be a disc. Would it still be the same concept with more traditional hands? I dunno. Thanks for the feedback! :D

Yeah you could achieve a similar effect with a LCD but it might loose some charm. I'm glad you like it. Hopefully TF will see past the low ratings. Thanks for positive comment! :D

I have added MkII images to my FB page (PF Design) click on my yellow name to link to the page.
I have improved the proportions and made it sleeker and edgier. Also I have linked the two displays to make it look more scroll like and added markers for extra detail and easier time reading, check them out!

An design is a design,
maybe ppl got a bit scared of the cartoony look.
because of that "fear"they find it bad presented.
and this is a good design, there are some flaws, and its for a very specific group of ppl.

And ignatius, a good presented, bad design can be rated higher then a rly good, bad presented design.
Its moslty the mind of the ppl and how you can trick them.
