  2. This would be great if it weren’t pitched so hard straight at sleazy dudes. The watch function and aesthetic is impressive though.

    • I think the simplicity of your design is much more desirable, Logan. Having the display in a trapezoid is more exciting stylistically. The rectangular display is interesting, but an irregular design is much more sleek from my perspective.

  3. This is great. I never had the chance to get the Negative watch and I like this design much more. I’d like it more if it didn’t have the pick up lines in programmed into it though. Maybe have an option to purchase one without them?

  4. Well it also reminds me of Logans Starship watch, the resemblance cannot be denied.

The text option is nice but could be improved. I would let the vertical parts of the letters twice as thick in favor of readability.

The “pick up” topic is nice but I’m not sure if that is too geeky/technical for a date. A heartbeat-animation or smileys ( πŸ˜‰ ) or the color red or whatever less sterile would match the kinda romantic term “valentine”. At least for the presentation it would have been nice. I’d like to know what girls think about this watch.

The watch itself looks really cool. Nice case, nice closing mechanism, nice display.

  5. Thanks for the comments guys.

Logan: the Tokyoflash design team would like to apologise to you for the similarity of the display and conceed the original idea for it was yours. If we select a watch with this display, we will contact you and present you an offer and if we proceed, you will receive the royalties.

The pick up lines were only added for fun and shouldn’t be taken too seriously. Perhaps the case could have been less design stream and more funny.

    • The head line sais “Find Your Valentine – Pick Up Line Watch Concept” so the pick up line seems to be an integral part of the watch. And I like that part. I really think that could be a chat starter. Well I already have a girl πŸ™‚ The display looks cool. I also have a deja vu. I liked and like the negative display style and the fact, the numbers can be read at once.

    • Hey, guys! The most important thing in every device (not including the drawings and production stages) is the MAIN idea. Then it can be changed in different ways. But the core of idea is the main thing.

  6. Nice watch.

Just to warn you though, the example chat up line shown in the picture has a spelling mistake. “Is it hot in here or is it just yuo?”

    “YUO?” should be “YOU?”.
