We are simply awestruck with Mattia’s bizarre idea for time telling. He tells us this idea came up when he noticed that the numbers of lines used in classic digital clocks matches perfectly to the 12+11+4 system used in some Tokyoflash watches.
Reading time may not be as easy as digital clocks but it’s far from complicated. The upper section tells the number of hours and single minutes, lower section tells the minutes in groups of five and indicates am/pm; and is also separated in groups of 15 minutes. It’s an easy read!
The contrast between the classic digits and Tokyoflash’s LED concept makes this watch one of the most unexpected designs we have seen. The clean and simple exterior body of the watch adds up to conceal it’s real wacky and fun gimmick. It absolutely looks like a broken digital watch. Truly amusing!
