Infinite Time Watch Design

Design submitted by Jakub from Czech Republic.

Inspired by the symbol of infinity – the horizontal eight, time is read in three displayed stages.  Randomly lit sections of the watch face indicates first the hours, then 10-minute segments, and finally the minutes.  Press the left button and the inner symbol and date in digits lights up.

It’s an amusing watch design.  You may think that time can be read from the inner symbol but it’s actually the surrounding spaces that tell the time.  It’s a new concept that has many possibilities.

  1. I like the appearance of the display. It’s a nice pattern and looks quite mystifying. The way the time is displayed is also unique in the sense that there are no specific locations that indicate a certain hour or minute. I find this quite interesting.

I really think the date in digits in the center takes away from the otherwise clean appearance. I would just like to see the pattern, maybe in a different color on a black case. That would work best for me. Great effort though.

  2. I like it. The display looks cool. It is easy to produce. The 3 step time telling is very cool. The colors are yummy. Make a a perfect square case with rounded corners and I buy it. Really tokyo flashy I think!

  3. I like it like it is but I would have like it more if the concept of infinity would have go further than just a line with loops, maybe.
